Under the weather…

As the title says I am currently feeling under the weather. I dont know what it is I have but its killing me right now. I have had a crazy headache since I woke up this morning and had some stomach pains. The fact that we went out today on the ice cream run to the next town over did not help. Considering we are on the mountain and there are an insane amount of twists and turns. This cpmbined with my stomach and headache did not help with my condition at all. I pretty much have been having an awful day. After driving and trying not to get sick I managed to make it to the cabin. I just went straigh to bed after traking some medicine for the headache. I managed to fall asleep for an hour before I woke up with a really bad stomach feeling. I knew I had to throw up but the thing was I was on the top bunk1 I scurried down as fast adn safely as I could and immediatly ran to the toilet where I procedded to throw up. Slept some more after that and felt good enough to go the Farewell Dinner where I ate a salad and some of the pasta there. So far all I have right now is the headache and some minor stomach pains but im feeling ok for now…

Into the Forest…

Hey there everybody! Had an awesome time yesterday. I took the time to actually go into the hills where there are a lot of designated hiking trails. The first time I went through and walked around for a good hour I believe. I found lots of interesting locations and I got to see some of the local wildlife. I managed to see a group of rabbits just relaxing until they heard me and they just scattered. I also saw a deer! Not my first one but its been years since I last saw a deer so it was cool nonetheless. I managed to make it back to the cabin only long enough to grab my camera. I really wanted to go back and take some pictures so I did just that. This time however I took a different trail. This trail was actually a thinner trail and took me even further up the  mountain! It was all fun and everything but i realized  I had to start going back. Well I figured I would take a shortcut and go down the side of the mountain to a trail that was below. Well this was a different trail and it actually took me pretty much to the other side of Fontana Village. All in all I was away for at least two hours! It was really fun though and I would do it all again.

North Carolina or Bust…

Well It’s almost that time. Time to leave to take the last exam of the year and to finally hit the road. Went to bed at 3:00 this morning so I’m a little tired but from what I can gather I don’t think I was the one to stay up the latest. As it looks right now everything seems to be in good shape. I got most of my crap packed up and I am currently just waiting around for some last minute laundry. Not the most exciting take-off I know but hey, work with me here will you. Anyways figured I would just take the time to tell everyone Ill miss them very much for the upcoming two weeks but hey don’t fret, Ill be back before you know it. North Carolina or Bust!!!

It’s just one thing after another…

OK so I managed to finish my papers. Turned one in on Thursday and i just turned the other one this Monday which was originally due on Wednesday. So I figured I would be golden for the rest of the week until the day we leave for the road trip. Boy was I wrong. First off I somehow managed to forget about my Final Exams. I am not exactly sure how that happened. Second of all I didn’t even manage to study for them and they were both for today!!! It was ridiculous. I had to scramble to get out of bed and get some information for my American Cinema class at 8:30 this morning. Surprisingly the exam was easier than I had anticipated. Six questions, mostly opinionated and the others were about the articles I found that same morning. Once that was over with I had some time to kill until my Western Civilization exam which was at 2:00. I did some of this and that and was in the classroom in no time at all. So I am sitting there with Marc, the teacher is handing out the test and were just like OK cool, you know were ready for this we said. Well guess what. As it turns out the teacher handed out the wrong test. Well we told him and do you know what he said to us? He simply looked at us with a blank look and I am sure he thought “Oh shit!” because what he told us next just pissed us off. He told us he had not even typed the damn thing yet! Can you believe it!! We told him we would be there to take the stupid exam and he ends up coming up short. I mean WTF man seriously…So me and Marc are now forced to take the exam tomorrow at noon as it is the earliest he will have the exam ready for us. As a result we will be even further behind schedule than we had originally anticipated. This is not even the worst part of the day. Just a few hours ago I got the biggest scare yet. My mother text me telling me that I had a summons for Jury Duty. Really? Well no, as it turns out she was just saying that to scare me and it did. I’ll let you know that it was simply a Juror Qualification Questionnaire in which I answer a few simple questions and put into the system for future potential jurors. If this day takes another turn for the worst I don’t know what I’ll do. The human being can only handle so much emotional trauma…

Rocky Start…

As luck would have it, Jose has an exam he cannot get out of on the 29th. As a result of this we will in turn be missing out on the Welcome Dinner. It’s OK though because we all have to do our own things before the trip. I have two final exams the day before as does Marc. Artavius well hes Artavius, who knows what hes doing. Although we are missing the welcome dinner we will still be leaving the same day so its a slow start but a start nonetheless.  Meanwhile I still have some work to do this week… two 10-page papers due within a day of eachother…ugh I guess I better get started
